I've decided to enter the rapidplay tournament on Easter Monday in Rotherham, it should be a good day. I've obviously entered the minor section, the games are all moves in 30mins, with matches starting at 10am and finishing at 5:40pm. There's also supposed to be a Simul exhibition with Michael Adams, world number 10, British number 1, in the evening. Prizes will be presented by former Cruiserweight world boxing champion Johnny Nelson.
This will probably cement me getting at least a rapidplay grade by the end of the season, but I don't think I'll have played enough long games to get a standard grade.
